96986413 Before officially starting this review let me get something out of the way: For $15 Castle Crashers on PSN is a steal!  If you don’t already own it on Xbox Live…GET IT!  Ok, now let’s get started. I never owned Castle Crashers on Xbox Live.  Was fortunate to have a friend and neighbor who purchased the game 2 years ago.  We often played co-op games together and both found Castle Crashers an instant favorite.  I took the Red Knight as he took the Green Knight and ..read the full article

According to the Witcher’s Facebook Page, CDProjekt is not going to, “sacrifice” the game’s development for consoles at the moment.  They are simply focused on a great PC title … for now.

Here’s the direct quote:

To be clear – no part of The Witcher 2′s development is being sacrificed for console development. The focus is on delivering a great PC title for Q1 next year… the engine is CAPABLE of console development, but we are currently focused on the PC game ..read the full article

robostitute

An ESRB listing for Fallout: New Vegas has revealed that the game will heavily suggest (but not show on-screen) robotic hanky-panky. There’s also a Robot named ‘Fisto.’

“Fisto reporting for duty . . . Please assume the position,” is just one of the brilliant phrases you’ll hear, as listed by the ratings board. There’s also these two beauties: “I suppose I should test you out . . . Servos active!” and “Something wrong with someone if they got to f**k a ..read the full article

FFXIV online

According to producer Hiromichi Tanaka, the main reason for the delay of Final Fantasy XIV on the PlayStation 3 is memory-related.

The PS3 delay was announced in late June when the PC version got hit with a September release date.

“On the PC, they have enormous memory. For PS3, there’s a restriction,” Tanaka explained while talking through a translator at Gamescom last week. “They are adjusting the memory size and customizing it; it took longer then we were expecting. But we’re really ..read the full article

Announced today, a new Neverwinter title is in the works from MMO developer Cryptic Studios, the folks behind the recent Champions Online and Star Trek Online, who are working closely with fantasy author R.A. Salvatore.

Although Cryptic is an MMO developer, Neverwinter is not massively multiplayer, instead being a five-player co-op RPG. Being based on Dungeons & Dragons, it will feature five classic D&D classes.

Both Champions Online and Star Trek Online were hit and miss with critics, so let’s hope Cryptic ..read the full article

deathspank things of virtue

Hothead Games have announced that a sequel to the game described as “really good” by our own Bryce Wilson entitled ‘DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue’ will be coming to both XBLA and PSN in September.

The game has a more modern setting (with guns) and has the player in search of a number of ‘Thongs’:

“Granting great power to those who wear them, the thongs corrupted all those they touched–except DeathSpank. DeathSpank must find all six thongs and destroy them once ..read the full article

fable-iii

Peter Molyneux is known for breaking video game taboos, and making games that are outside of the box; looks like he’s at it again. Ever since the Mario Bros. days, we’ve been trained that things come in threes: jump on a bosses head 3 times, for instance, and he’s done for. We expect trilogies: Halo, God of War, etc. However, looks like the Fable franchise might just change all that.

“I’ve never understood this obsession with trilogies, I love making and ..read the full article

costume quest fight

THQ and Double Fine have released the first trailer for Costume Quest, the next game from the legendary Tim Schafer (creator of Day of the Tentacle and Psychonauts, amongst others).

The trailer is below, and as you can see the game is looking absolutely delightful. It seems like some sort of cross between Fat Princess and that episode of South Park where they buy ninja weapons. Let’s fighting love!

Costume Quest is coming in the Autumn to PSN and XBLA.

Bethesda’s executive producer Todd Howard has said in an interview today that the company’s next game will be released for the current generation of consoles, and that the game development is, “pretty far along.”

deus-ex-human-evolution

It’s been almost two months since the reveal of Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s cinematic trailer at E3. Now Eidos Montreal has something new for you to oggle in glorious hi-def. The trailer demonstrates the first person combat perspective as well as a conversation with a shady-looking old man at an equally-shady bar known as “The Hive.”  And there’s killing. Lots of it. Two words: elbow blades.

This seems to be a highlight reel of the playable mission that was made available ..read the full article

What do we mean by that?  We mean that Runic is doing away with the one town/one dungeon formula, and opening up the game to overworlds and multiple cities!!  The news coming from Runic about this highly anticipated sequel just seems to be getting better and better.
