Activision has confirmed that it’s releasing the first DLC map pack for Modern Warfare 2 dubbed the “Stimulus Package” in just a few weeks on March 30. The Stimulus Package will first be released on Xbox Live and Silver Live members will be able to try out MW2 online play in a “Multiplayer Unlock event” during the dates of March 12-15.
There are no other details on the maps themselves, nor how many maps the package will actually contain, but there have ..read the full article
Final Fantasy XIII comes out this week for PS3 and 360. Yep, that’s pretty much all you need to know. Actually the game is already out as of today, so you should go buy it because it’s suppose to be pretty dope. There are other games coming out this week but none come close to what FFXIII has to offer, well at least for me. Okay, now I gotta get back to playing. The number one thing to note about this review of Napoleon: Total War is that I was not able to try out the multi-player. The version reviewed, although a complete game, was a pre-release version. If you were looking for a review of the online component of the game, I suggest you go elsewhere (after reading through my review of the single-player, of course). Personally I don’t think of the Total War series as particularly focused on multi-player, although obviously ..read the full article
Avalanche have finally released the demo for Just Cause 2 today, which you can find on Steam (if you so wish). It’s 2 Gb on XP and 3 Gb on Vista/7 according to the system specs. This might be something to do with the fact that it’s bloody huge.
They boasted 35 square miles, and although I’m not sure of that, it is a huge space for a demo to take place. They’ve also done the sensible thing and limited you ..read the full article

If you haven’t heard yet, Activision escorted former Infinity Ward Studio leads Vince Zampella and Jason West out of their lovely office space bouncer style on March 1st, just a few short days ago. The publisher is reporting that the two were performing acts that they believe to be “breaches of contract” and “insubordination.” However, Jason and Vince have no plans of going down without a fight.
The two state that Activision hired a ..read the full article
Yesterday amidst exploding PS3s and Activision’s military coup against Infinity Ward, something even stranger happened. For those who haven’t yet stared bleary eyed at the coverage of the most recent, and unannounced, Portal update and uncovered the sugary goodness inside it, let’s recap. Quietly and with no explanation, an update was put into effect for the brilliantly engrossing (and now nearly three years old) Portal that said only that it “changed radio transmission frequency to comply with federal and state ..read the full article
The PC, Xbox, and PS3 demo for Just Cause 2 is coming on March 4th, and supposedly it gives you a full 35 Square miles of land to play around in. The area includes lots of towns, mountains, and other stuff, so it should be rather entertaining.
That said, the Demo for Fuel had a similar, if not bigger, play area to drive around. This of course meant that it was bloody ridiculous to get around. It took at least 20 ..read the full article
The first week of March gives us a pretty nice array of new video game releases as Modern Warfare 2’s biggest opposition, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, finally hits stores and baseball season starts in the video game world with MLB 2K10 and MLB 10: The Show also coming out. Oh, don’t let me forgot to mention the return of the Blue Bomber in Mega Man 10 for the Wii. That should be dope. Hit the jump for the full list ..read the full article
Captain’s log, stardate 2010.33 I have been thrust directly into a world of intrigue and excitement. My life as a space captain began without much warning, as I found myself playing a large part in rescuing a Federation ship from the evil Borg. My reward for these heroics is my very own ship- kind of an odd reward system really, but who am I to judge. After spending a nearly infinite amount of time with the litany of options the Federation ..read the full article
Sorry a bit late on this week’s list of new game releases, but hey, better late than never. This week’s big game coming out has to be Heavy Rain for the PS3, which has been one of the most anticipating PS3 titles in awhile. Other notable titles coming out this week include Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, Nintendo’s Endless Ocean: Blue World for the Wii and Metal Slug XX for the PSP. You’re on the couch, plugging away at your BioShock 2 sequel and asking yourself how the experience could be better. It’s got more action, more options … sure, some may say that the story is not as good as the original, but how about a new DLC? See, you’re feeling better already.

Prepare yourself (and your wallet) for The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, the third installment of Borderlands DLC coming to Xbox LIVE on February 23rd (tomorrow), and the PC and PlayStation Network two days later on the 25th.
Size matters, and because 2K Games knows this, they are promising that this latest add-on will double that of the previous two, complete with new weapon classes, vehicles, and villains — oh my! Just how much will this gigantic heaping of goodness run ..read the full article
There’s been a lot of new information about Fallout: New Vegas released, and as you SHOULD know by now, Bethesda has loaned the Fallout license to Obsidian Entertainment (who was founded by the developers of Fallout 1 and 2), so hopes and expectations are indeed high.
Here is some of the key information to surface as of late:
There is an optional hardcore mode, the character needs to drink water, ammo has weight, healing isn’t instant etc. ..read the full article
Let me set the scene for you- the date was 1999. The Euro was brand new, Napster was getting ready to bring music downloading out of the seedy back alleys of IRC, everybody still had jobs, a certain governor of Texas calling himself a “compassionate conservative” wasn’t a laughable statement, and computers were looked down upon with scorn and fear due to the role they were so obviously about to play in ending human civilization. More importantly, it was also ..read the full article
Aliens vs. Predator, Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth and SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo 3 are some of the highlights in a mediocre week of new game releases. But still there seems to be a little bit of everything to offer gamers looking for a new purchase. Hit the jump for the full list of new game releases this week and my pick of the week.

Have a look at four new screens from the upcoming Bethesda first-person shooter by developer Splash Damage. I maintain my opinion that the game has a very Team Fortress stylized look to it … which is in no way a bad thing. Check out the screens yourself and let me know what you think. I’m excited to play this one.
