Activision has confirmed that it’s releasing the first DLC map pack for Modern Warfare 2 dubbed the “Stimulus Package” in just a few weeks on March 30. The Stimulus Package will first be released on Xbox Live and Silver Live members will be able to try out MW2 online play in a “Multiplayer Unlock event” during the dates of March 12-15.

Did Peter Molyneux start working on Halo games when I wasn’t paying attention? Are jokes about Peter Molyneux’s love of over exaggeration still funny? Either way, the thing in the quotation marks up there is a direct quote from Stephen McGill, Microsoft’s Director of Entertainment. That position sounds a lot like something Leonard F. Chikarason would be doing if he worked for Microsoft. Exactly one of you got that reference, and I salute you for it.

Even though it just came out today for the WiiWare, Capcom already has plans to bring DLC to Mega Man 10 next month.
Capcom will be releasing Bass (a Mega Man character introduced in Mega Man 7 and playable in Mega Man & Bass) as a DLC character for the Wii version of Mega Man 10 on April 5 for 200 Wii Points ($2) and introduce a special stage that same day for 300 Wii Points.

Ubisoft has just confirmed that Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will release on May 18 and May 20 in the US and Europe.
But which versions of the game will release on those dates you ask? All three of them. Yep, the 360, PS3 and Wii versions of The Forgotten Sands will all release on the same date.

Above is the first Halo: Reach vidoc released by Bungie after last night’s X10 coverage in San Francisco.
At X10, Microsoft finally announced that May 3 would be the day that the multiplayer beta would begin, which is suppose to be the biggest beta of its type on a console ever. If you bought ODST, the beta invitation is included with the game so be prepared when May rolls along.

According to the latest issue of PSM3 (via CVG), Killzone fans should be prepared to hear about the first details on Killzone 3 in the “next few months.”

After announcing Ghost Recon: Future Soldier yesterday, Ubisoft went ahead and released the above teaser video for the game. The title was initially confirmed for just the 360 and PS3, but then Wii, DS, and PSP versions were also said to be in the works. Look for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier fall 2010.

Ubisoft announced today that they will be bringing Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier to gamers in 2010, resurrecting the Ghost Recon franchise after a three year hiatus.
Being developed by the fine Advanced Warfighter vets over at Ubisoft Paris, Future Soldier promises to bring us “cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes.”

About damn time Infinity Ward. The Modern Warfare 2 Care Package patch is finally on the way to the Xbox 360 to fix the glitches that have plagued online matches for months now.
Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has told Game Informer that the Care Package patch for Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox 360 has been sent to Microsoft for certification and should arrive soon, considering the patch for the PC was issued last month, along with one for the PS3.

In a conference call that occurred earlier today, THQ CEO Brian Farrell, revealed several high profile sequels already in development. The list included Red Faction Guerrilla 4 as a fiscal 2011 release, with Darksiders 2, Saints Row 3, and a new IP titled Homefront underway as well.

Exhibitors and concerts were announced today for PAX East in Boston, which takes place on March 26-28. Major publishers attending the show include EA, Ubisoft, Microsoft and Nintendo, along with well known developers like The Behemoth, Harmonix, Rockstar, Turbine and Twisted Pixel Games also making an appearance. David Cox, a producer at Konami and owner of the twitter account “CastlevaniaLOS”, tweeted a few details about the upcoming game today. In addition to sharing the title’s number seven ranking on GameTrailers most anticipated games list, Cox also revealed the following bits of information in response to questions about the game:
“There is lots of platforming – climbing, jumping, using the combat cross to swing, grip, rappel and all sorts of stuff !!” tweet
Bungie has confirmed that Halo: Reach will not be a Natal title and that the game was made with the standard 360 controller “in mind.”
Bungie wrote in its weekly update, “Halo: Reach is NOT a Natal title and is being developed expressly with the traditional Xbox 360 controller in mind.”
Bungie continues to clear up rumors this week after having said last week that Reach is not Halo 4.
