The combination of EA Games and BioWare has Mass Effect 2 reaching two million sales worldwide since its release this past Tuesday. Reports are coming in from gamers in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Italy and Spain from the stores they pre-ordered their Mass Effect 2: Collectors Edition’s from, saying they will be delayed for over a week!!

BioWare has just announced their plans for the first two DLC additions to Mass Effect 2, and both will be accessible free to those who buy the game new via a new platform the company is calling “The Cerberus Network (TCN).”

Today is a great day for Mass Effect 2 news- first with the massive, packed collector’s being announced, and now, with 90 seconds of brand-new footage that signals the coming of a full trailer for the game. If the game looks anything like this footage, it’s sure to be a real contender for 2010 GOTY.

The contents of the Mass Effect 2 Collector’s Edition have been confirmed by Electronic Arts and developer BioWare and the nice, shiny image above has been released. Hit the jump for the details and a bigger image.

The original standard release box art (shown above left) for BioWare’s Mass Effect 2 game revealed back in July has changed. The new art (shown above right) is what BioWare is calling the”final” box art for the highly anticipated sequel. Maybe the old one showed off a little more female crotch than EA felt parents would be comfortable with? Who knows.

Apparently Microsoft hands out “Microsoft Expert Zone” quizzes to retailers so that they can be better informed on the products that they’re selling. A recent quiz contained details on Mass Effect 2 DLC content, and as luck would have it, those details made their way to the internet.
