GameStop, also known to some as EB Games, has allowed a few Halo: Reach gameplay images to hit the web. Game Informer subscribers may or may not have seen some of these images already depending on whether or not they’ve got their copy of the gaming mag yet.

All in all the screens look like what we’d all expect to see from a Halo title at this point with a bit more realistic texturing and a darker ..read the full article

According to a corporate email that Sony sent to Gamestop stores, God of War III will be released on March 16th in the US. A Sony Computer Entertainment Europe rep told VG247 that they should be able to confirm a UK release date in “the next few weeks.” The game hits Japanese shelves on March 25th.

I still haven’t completed the God of War collection. Time to get movin’.

never-bet-on-duke

In 2001, I was 9 years old. Bush had just become the President of the United States, America was feeling the pain from the WTC attacks, and the Xbox and Gamecube were hitting homes across the nation. Apparently, GameStop was also taking pre-orders for an obscure little game you’ve probably never heard of called Duke Nukem Forever.

While I’m sure that more than one person placed down at least $5 for the poster game for vaporware, over 8 years later now, ..read the full article

2011 ds

This listing from the GameStop website has surfaced on the internet (that’s where you are now). As you can see (with your eyes), the listing sets the date of release at the third of January 2011. Obviously this is over a year from now; it’s not often that we start hearing about a game this long before it launches, unless it’s something like Final Fantasy XIII, which has been in development for around 2000 years (and Chad’s been posting about ..read the full article

In an effort to plan for the future world of digital distribution, video game retail chain, GameStop, purchased a majority interest in U.K. based Jolt. The company distributes gaming news as well as developing and publishing free-to-play license-based titles and browser based MMOs such as Playboy Manager, the Legends of Zork, Trukz, and Utopia Kingdoms.

GameStop is pulling out all the stops to earn your buck this holiday season. The retailer/glorified pawn shop is promising to give you a little extra cash back on Super Mario Bros. Wii and Left 4 Dead 2 if you buy the titles from them online an return them no later than December 20th of this year.

In other words, you can rent the games from them for a full price down payment and get roughly $20 less back when you ..read the full article

Perhaps I should rephrase that. GameStop wants to put you, as a zombie, into Left 4 Dead 2! Of course, not the game itself. It released today (to critical acclaim, I might add) which means it’s a bit too late to get into the actual game, but with the help of GameStop, you can get edited into a video of the game.

If you’ve ever dreamt of being turned into a zombie for a brief period of time, only to take ..read the full article

It has leaked on the web that several GameStop locations in the North East (Brooklyn NY, Philadelphia PA, Bowling Green Ohio) have been selling Modern Warfare 2 before its November 10th release date — as in today.

According to Mike Fahey over at Kotaku, at least one location claimed that they received specific permission from Activision to do so based on other retailers (like Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and even Mom n’ Pop shops) already breaking the release date in their ..read the full article
