Gearbox Software has officially announced the “Game of the Year Edition” of Borderlands via Twitter, confirming the re-release for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 12.
The package will include all four DLC add-ons, along with a helpful foldout map of the game’s territories. The GOTY Edition will be priced at $60 for Xbox 360 and PS3, and $50 for PC.
This announcement seems to also confirm that the “Borderlands GOTY Official Strategy Guide” is actually real. The guide appeared last ..read the full article
Bohemia Interactive have announced today that their “British Armed Forces” content pack for ARMA 2 has been released, and is available for download.
The DLC adds “a new campaign, numerous single missions and a brand new faction and environment,” and of course letting you play as the finest army in the entire world. No, not Al-Qaeda, that’s in Medal of Honor. It’s the British Army, of course.
You can grab the DLC here but unfortunately due to technical hitches the ..read the full article

The Sacrifice, new DLC for both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, was revealed today by Valve. The DLC will be compatible with both games, so no matter which one you have, you’ll be able to play it.
The new DLC follows the survivors from the original campaign, and fills in the gap between the end of the first game and The Passing DLC for Left 4 Dead 2. The game is done from the perspective of the original game’s cast, ..read the full article

SPOILER ALERT, but if you cared about that, you really should know it by now. Bill dies in Valve’s “The Passing” DLC for Left 4 Dead 2. Luckily, Valve will be explaining how this happened in upcoming DLC for the game as well as a comic.
When discussing this week’s mutation, Valve have noted that the strange death of the second best character in the series will be explained in this DLC and comic, and invite all L4D2 players to guess ..read the full article

Naughty Bear has received mix reviews. Some people have labelled it a heap of shit, some have said it had the right idea but lacked the implementation. I’m kind of in the middle, although I can’t help but commend the support from 505 Games and A2M (Artificial Mind and Movement).
Just released is the free Level 8 Episode that is set to incorporate “challenging and never-before-seen gameplay”. In said episode the Naughty Bear gets an invite to a rather dodgy sounding ..read the full article
I think the two Summer of Arcade games that I’m most excited about are Monday Night Combat and Lara Croft & The Guardian of Light. Getting a TF2-style shooter on XBLA seems like a terrific idea, but getting an isometric, online co-op enabled Lara Croft game seems too good to be true. Oh, did I say online co-op enabled? I meant “local and local only for a month enabled”. Just a typo- the keys are right next to each other ..read the full article
I rarely enjoy racing games nowadays, as it seems that the trend is making them more realistic than fun, but one of the few games that goes against this norm is Split/Second. Gavin loved the game in his review, which is why he is probably as excited as I am that we’re about to see DLC for the game.
Later this month, we’ll be getting three new packs of Split/Second content; the first pack is a bunch of designs for your ..read the full article
With the release of Madden NFL 11 this week, the fall release schedule officially begins and this first week ain’t too bad for gamers. Of course, there’s Madden NFL 11, but there’s some great downloadable games coming out this week such as Scott Pilgrim vs. the World for PS3, Monday Night Combat for 360 and, um, Enjoy Your Massage! for the Wii.

Earlier this week, Gearbox forum member Legendrew raided a recent PC patch and discovered a file containing extensive plot and character details for upcoming still unannounced Borderlands DLC. He then did what any red-blooded fanboy would do, and exposed it on the forums.
Unexpectedly, Gearbox did not retaliate. Legendrew’s post and thread were not deleated, nor did anyone try to refute or deny what he exposed. Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford made these statements:
There are a few things there, but I think it’s like ..read the full article
Crystal Dynamics has announced today DLC plans for the upcoming release of the downloadable Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light with five different DLC packs.
The plan is to have all of the packs released by the end of the year, with all of them downloadable for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC versions of the game. The first three DLC packs are really expansion packs that will include “all new puzzle, exploration and combat experiences in the game ..read the full article

Last month, the name “Jimmy’s Vendetta” leaked out, along with a list of PlayStation 3 Trophies that appeared to be from the previously-confirmed PS3-exclusive Mafia II downloadable content.
As it turns out, that DLC will be coming down the line. Before Jimmy can get going on that vendetta – he’s got to be double-crossed. That, as it turns out, is the source material for The Betrayal of Jimmy DLC, available at free at launch, exclusively for the PS3 version of ..read the full article
Bioshock 2 publisher 2K Games has announced today that the game will be getting some new Single-player DLC, which the publisher describes as “narrative-driven.”
The DLC will be coming to PS3, PC and Xbox 360 in the Autumn, and is described as “a self-contained narrative experience” with “an all-new character.”
You’ll be helping Brigid Tenenbaum to “uncover the dark secrets hidden in its founder’s past” in a new area of Rapture, with the aid of “new high-tech weaponry and a devastating new ..read the full article
In case you didn’t already own Plants vs. Zombies on another platform (and if so, why the hell not?) or at least, on enough platforms (three and counting!) you’ll be pleased to know that PopCap will be dropping Plants vs. Zombies on Xbox Live next month, on September 8th.
You can pick the game up for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15) which is, in my opinion, a fair price for such an awesome twist on the classic Tower Defense formula. The Xbox ..read the full article
