When it comes to video game trailers, live action seems to be the shoulder pad trend of the 2000′s. Electronic Arts revealed today that those who purchase the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor will get access to the Battlefield 3 beta. As far as a date for the beta, EA simply says it will happen within a year of Medal of Honor’s release.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 developer DICE has confirmed today that the ‘Onslaught’ downloadable content pack will be coming to the PC version of the game.

The maps Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes, and Nelson Bay have all been reworked for the new mode, which lets players fight in teams of up to four against the onslaught of enemy AI- much like a certain Gears of War multiplayer mode we all know and love.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 developer DICE has announced that a 500MB patch for the PC version of the game will be applied tomorrow, June 30. PC servers will be closed for a few hours to accommodate the update.

The servers will go down on “Wednesday Jun 30th at 07:00AM (GMT+2). Most of them should be back up by 11:00AM (GMT+2).” The client patch will be applied during this time, as well.

Sean Decker, General Manager of EA Los Angeles, has appeared on stage to announce the new Medal of Honor title, a “modern war experience” set in sunny Afghanistan. Recently, there was a Bad Company 2 Beta on the PlayStation 3. If you missed it, or only have an Xbox or PC, you might be issuing a series of expletives. Electronic Arts has begun it’s plan to gun down the Call of Duty series in terms of FPS multiplayer and it’s “first strong attack” will be with Battlefield: Bad Company 2, according to EA European boss, Jens Uwe Intat.
