Activision has confirmed that it’s releasing the first DLC map pack for Modern Warfare 2 dubbed the “Stimulus Package” in just a few weeks on March 30. The Stimulus Package will first be released on Xbox Live and Silver Live members will be able to try out MW2 online play in a “Multiplayer Unlock event” during the dates of March 12-15.

If you haven’t heard yet, Activision escorted former Infinity Ward Studio leads Vince Zampella and Jason West out of their lovely office space bouncer style on March 1st, just a few short days ago. The publisher is reporting that the two were performing acts that they believe to be “breaches of contract” and “insubordination.” However, Jason and Vince have no plans of going down without a fight.

Even though it just came out today for the WiiWare, Capcom already has plans to bring DLC to Mega Man 10 next month.
Capcom will be releasing Bass (a Mega Man character introduced in Mega Man 7 and playable in Mega Man & Bass) as a DLC character for the Wii version of Mega Man 10 on April 5 for 200 Wii Points ($2) and introduce a special stage that same day for 300 Wii Points.

The PC, Xbox, and PS3 demo for Just Cause 2 is coming on March 4th, and supposedly it gives you a full 35 Square miles of land to play around in. The area includes lots of towns, mountains, and other stuff, so it should be rather entertaining.

There’s been a lot of new information about Fallout: New Vegas released, and as you SHOULD know by now, Bethesda has loaned the Fallout license to Obsidian Entertainment (who was founded by the developers of Fallout 1 and 2), so hopes and expectations are indeed high.

Major Nelson issued an update on the status of the highly anticipated Alan Wake title via his lovely brightly colored Xbox themed website, majornelson.com. Here’s what the Microsoft figure head had to say:

Ubisoft announced today that they will be bringing Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier to gamers in 2010, resurrecting the Ghost Recon franchise after a three year hiatus.
Being developed by the fine Advanced Warfighter vets over at Ubisoft Paris, Future Soldier promises to bring us “cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes.”

About damn time Infinity Ward. The Modern Warfare 2 Care Package patch is finally on the way to the Xbox 360 to fix the glitches that have plagued online matches for months now.
Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has told Game Informer that the Care Package patch for Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox 360 has been sent to Microsoft for certification and should arrive soon, considering the patch for the PC was issued last month, along with one for the PS3.

Sega’s voluptuous vixen, Bayonetta, has broken the 1 million sales mark with 1.1 million units sold on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 console. The economy hasn’t been too excepting of new IPs as of late, so it’s good to see that a half nude librarian witch can get a little love. I predict a Platinum Games sequel that features a fully nude Bayonetta who becomes clothed only when she performs special moves. Brilliant.
